Description
Esse 850 – Uncompromising Sailing Pleasure in an Elegant Design
The Esse 850 is an exclusive, pure performance sailing yacht where elegant lines, low weight and outstanding sailing characteristics come together in perfect harmony. A yacht for the passionate sailor who appreciates responsiveness, speed and the feeling of being in direct contact with both the boat and the water.
The slender hull and well-balanced rig give the Esse 850 light and precise handling. She is fast and lively under sail, yet at the same time straightforward and manageable. This makes her equally well suited to competitive racing and fast day sailing, where the sailing experience itself takes centre stage.
Upgraded with Electric Propulsion
In 2024, the yacht was upgraded with a new electric motor and lithium battery bank. This provides a modern, quiet and efficient propulsion system that perfectly complements the Esse 850’s simple and uncompromising character. At the same time, it eliminates many of the traditional inconveniences associated with a diesel engine.
Well-Equipped Sail Inventory
The yacht comes with an attractive sail inventory consisting of:
Mainsail by North Sails, 2015
Gennaker by North Sails, 2015
Furling jib by Ullman Sails, 2021
The furling jib makes the yacht practical and easy to handle for everyday sailing, while the gennaker allows you to make full use of the Esse 850’s potential on open courses.
Navigation and instrumentation are by Tacktick, known for its simple and functional wireless instrument systems.
A Modern Classic
The Esse 850 stands out from the crowd. The minimalist deck layout, functional cockpit and harmonious lines give the yacht a timeless and exclusive appearance, while every detail has been designed with efficient and uncomplicated sailing in mind.
With its new electric motor, lithium battery bank and versatile sail inventory, this is a particularly attractive example of the Esse 850.
A yacht for the sailor who puts the pure sailing experience first!
