Bosphorus Boat Show hosted nearly 500 yachts at sea

The Bosphorus Boat Show at Pendik Marina (between October 21 to 29) gathered attention, particularly from boat enthusiasts eager to witness a variety of boats at sea.

The weather during the event was generally good and sunny. However, a few days experienced southwesterly winds, commonly known as "Lodos" in Turkey.

It's believed that when Lodos winds blow in Istanbul, the fish caught during this time might not be as tasty, and the wind can make people feel somewhat undecided and nervous. Despite these occasional windy days, everything went well.

At the show, up to 500 yachts, all exceeding 10 meters in length, were on display. The standout among these vessels was the 42-meter Mengi Yay sailing super yacht, available for purchase from its original owner.

Furthermore, the event featured the Turkish debuts of several new boats, including the Fim 340 Regina, Sanlorenzo SD90, Prestige X60, and Prestige M48, Riva68, Absolute 48 coupe, Seawater ghost 320, Beneteau first 44, Oceanis yacht 60.

The final day of the show happened to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Turkish Republic Day, and to mark this special occasion, a marching band delivered a spectacular performance, adding a festive touch to the event.
