Herewith a rarity designed by E. G. Van De Stadt; a Spanker 42 from 1973, which with its current owner has proven its worth by not once but twice leaving a wake back and forth across the Atlantic. The boat type is almost a piece of maritime history, with a distinctive look and a reputation for combining 70s elegance with solid and safe sailing characteristics.
As mentioned, the boat has been used for long-distance sailing and is thus equipped for this. The boat has also had various equipment replaced and practical solutions and necessities added, making it a great starting point for your next long-distance cruise towards new adventures.
Major renovations include, among other things:
- Osmosis treatment in 2016 with planing to laminate, drying, laminating with 2 layers of 450 g biaxial mat, moisture barrier and coppercoat.
- New rudder by Paul Cohen in 2008 and new rudder bearing from Jefa Marine in 2016
- New top shrouds and stays and new lower shrouds in 2022
