Picchiotti is a construction site of ancient traditions that is based in the heart of Viareggio. The shipyard was planted in 1575 in Limite sull'Arno and was throughout the nineteenth century and in the early twentieth century one of the most renowned in Italy, later moving to Viareggio, becoming a reference point for Italian shipbuilding. From its ports of call came ships of all kinds, from sailing ships to military ships for the Italian Navy and for foreign navies, up to sports boats and pleasure boating. Cabanon was born in 1971 from the skilled hands of the best shipwrights in the world, and has been the subject of a total, accurate and meticulous reffiting over the last three years, which without distorting its charm and atmosphere, has updated it in mechanics, electronics and deck fittings.
