The Houtribhoekstrand is an artificial sandy beach in Houtribdijk north of Lelystad overlooking the Markermeer and Houtribdijk. Right next to it you will find the 18-hole golf course with an adjacent nature park. The Hajé Nature Park is Flevoland's most popular wedding location.
In the Markermeer, you can experience the islands of the Marker Wadden. Marker Wadden is a large project that ensures the restoration of the nature of the Markermeer. A new nature was created by building natural islands with sand, clay and silt from the Markermeer. Both under and above water. A natural paradise for fish and birds and a wonderful island for relaxation. With the construction of Marker Wadden, a robust nature reserve was created in the heart of the Netherlands. Lelystad, the capital of the Dutch province of Flevoland, lies between the Markermeer, Gooimeer and Veluwemeer. The city of Enkhuizen awaits you not far from the Dutch capital Amsterdam (reachable in 30 - 40 minutes) with all its attractions.
