The Grand Soleil 40 by Duck Design/Massimo Paperini is a highly successful racer in the international regatta circuit, yet it also stands out as a comfortable and sturdy cruising yacht that can be easily and safely managed by a small crew.
The Grand Soleil 40 features a modern hull with a sharp vertical bow, a broad stern, and a narrow waterline. The 3-spreader racing mast ensures astonishing performance. The spacious and ergonomic deck layout includes a mainsheet system, and all sheets and trim lines lead aft to the cockpit.
Internally designed by Patrick Roseo with mahogany and laminated flooring, this Grand Soleil 40 is a racing version with a racing keel (draft: approx. 2.40m), a 3-spreader racing rig with rod rigging, and HARKEN racing deck equipment (high-quality deck fittings).
The layout consists of 3 cabins with a forward owner's cabin, two symmetrical aft cabins, and a water compartment. Powered by a 40hp YANMAR engine and equipped with a Paguro 5.5 SY generator and 2 reversible air conditioning units.
The boat is in very good condition for its age.
