Model: GP70 | Manufacturer: Tri Marin E | Category: new boat - stockboat
A new high-end catamaran: the GP70. In the competitive luxury catamaran market, few companies offer high-performance platforms. Today, Trimarine, renowned for its quality achievements, is entering this niche with a 70-foot catamaran, the GP70. This shipyard, based along the Tagus opposite Lisbon, is known for producing high-end racing yachts, combining elegance and performance thanks to their carbon construction. Incredibly luxurious motorboats for the Hermès company were built there. The GP70 is 21.00m long and is designed by the famous French naval architecture firm VPLP. Built 80% in epoxy carbon sandwich, the same material used for racing sailboats, she is characterized by her lightness, performance, elegance and ability to navigate silently over considerable distances with a small crew. The shipowner's priorities were simplicity of operation, robustness and reliability, silence on board, and autonomy or "very long range". This cruising catamaran offers superior comfort, unparalleled autonomy for this type of vessel thanks to minimal use of fossil energy for its operation (renewable energies + rationalization of large consumers) as well as voluminous fuel tanks. Naturally, this allows her to produce drinking water for prolonged navigation without refueling. The interior of the first copy of this small high-tech series consists of an owner's hull with a double cabin and possibly two additional berths, 2 double guest cabins and 1 crew cabin in the other hull, all designed to offer comfort, safety and autonomy. The architects have created a catamaran with luxurious living spaces without compromising on her performance. The sailboat, weighing 17.5 tons when light, and the hulls studied in a digital tank, allow very high speeds for a cruising boat. Her launch this summer has kept all promises, and CATCH ME is now positioned as a direct and relevant challenger to her competitor who still seems to monopolize the market for this style of very fast and high-tech catamaran.
